Label Paper: Use waterproof vinyl sticker paper (glossy or matte). This prevents the ink from bleeding if the bottle is chilled or handled.
Adhesive Remover:Goo Gone or rubbing alcohol to remove the original manufacturer's glue.
Cutting Tools: A paper trimmer is highly recommended over scissors for perfectly straight 90-degree edges.
Smoothing Tool: A squeegee or a simple credit card to press out air bubbles.
Assembly & Application Guide
Remove Old Labels: Soak the bottles in warm, soapy water for 15 minutes. Peel the old label off and use Goo Gone to remove any remaining sticky residue. Dry the bottle completely; any moisture will ruin the new adhesive.
The "Level" Trick: Lay the bottle flat on a surface. To prevent the bottle from rolling while you apply the label, place it between two heavy books or inside a shoebox.
Find the Center: Look for the seam in the glass on the side of the bottle. Use this seam as your vertical guide to ensure your label isn't tilted.
The Center-Out Method: Peel the backing off your label. Lightly press the center of the label onto the bottle first.
Smooth the Edges: Using your squeegee or credit card, smooth the label from the center outward to the left and right. This pushes the air out and prevents wrinkling.
